The Valencian Community, on Spain's eastern coast, has long been one of the favourite regions for Northern Europeans buying abroad. It has some of the Mediterranean's longest beaches, a mild climate, an international airport at both Valencia and Alicante, and a property market that is well supplied with modern homes. At Homes-Abroad.com, we help English, Danish, Swedish, and other Northern European buyers find the right home here, on the Costa Blanca, around the city of Valencia, or on the quieter coast to the north.
What Makes the Valencia Region Different?
The region combines affordable coastal living with good infrastructure. Here is what draws our buyers:
- Plenty of new build. Around six in ten of our listings are new build properties, from apartments with communal pools to modern villas. Resale properties are widely available too, many in towns with a long-established international community.
- Fair prices. Most of the homes we list in the region fall between roughly €186,000 and €1.19 million, with a median asking price of around €399,000.
- Everyday life, not just holidays. Towns and cities in the region have hospitals, markets, restaurants and services that work all year, so the region suits permanent living as well as second homes.
- Easy to reach. Alicante-Elche and Valencia airports have flights from many cities in the UK and Scandinavia, and the high-speed train links Valencia with Madrid and Barcelona.
Where Should You Buy in the Valencia Region?
Almost all of our listings are in Alicante province, with a few around Valencia city and on the northern coast.
Alicante province
Alicante province has two very different coasts. The southern Costa Blanca has long, flat beaches, golf courses and some of the most accessible prices in Spain, while the Costa Blanca North has more dramatic scenery and a large supply of new build apartments and villas.
Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa and Pilar de la Horadada
On the southern Costa Blanca, Torrevieja is the largest town, Orihuela Costa is a string of coastal urbanisations with golf close by, and Pilar de la Horadada has quiet beaches at the southern end of the province.
Finestrat, Calpe and Villajoyosa
On the Costa Blanca North, Finestrat has modern developments with views over Benidorm and the sea, Calpe is built around the Peñón de Ifach, and Villajoyosa has a colourful seafront and a long fishing tradition.
Valencia province and Castellón province
Valencia is one of Spain's largest cities, with a historic centre and a modern waterfront, and our Costa de Valencia listings are in and around it. North of Valencia, Castellón province has the quiet Costa del Azahar, named after the orange blossom of its orchards. Our selection in both is small, so contact us for homes that are not yet listed.
Why Choose Homes-Abroad.com?
We are not a generalist agency trying to serve everyone. We focus on helping buyers from the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands find the right property in Spain, and we have built everything around that mission.
- We speak your language. Our team handles enquiries and viewings in English, Danish, and Swedish, so nothing gets lost in translation when it matters most.
- Honest, no-pressure advice. We will tell you if a property is overpriced, if the Valencia region does not suit your brief, or if a development has a track record worth knowing about. We would rather lose a deal than see a client make the wrong purchase.
- Real listings, real prices. Our listings here run from new apartments to villas worth over a million euros, and we will help you compare the Costa Blanca, Valencia and the northern coast before you commit.
- End-to-end support. We connect you with trusted local lawyers, mortgage brokers, currency specialists, and property managers, building a reliable team around your purchase from day one.
